A brief overview of illustration art
Receive monthly articles regarding the illustration industry which
could include overviews of illustrators that have influenced the
industry as well as my personal life.

For those of you who are new to the world of Illustration Art, I
would like to take a moment and give a brief overview of what
illustration art is.
An illustration is a visualization form
presented as a drawing, painting,
photograph or other work that is
created to educate or dictate sensual
information (such as a story, poem,
newspaper article, advertisement), by
providing a visual representation.
Today there is a growing interest in collecting and admiring original
artwork that was used as illustrations in books, magazines, posters
and such. Even more so is the desire to collect or have created
illustrations that represent our own lives; such as illustrations of our
homes, our businesses, our pets – or finding an illustration that just
strikes our eye or one that seems to deliver a message to our core
being.
Whatever our own personal reason for our collections, illustrative
art has an impact on not only us all personally, but to all of us, this
art form delivers messages as a whole to a society. We can not
ignore past or present the value that Illustration art has given to us
all. We hope that you join us each and every month as the Watson
Post takes you inside the world of illustration! Who knows, maybe
